Welcome to Pest Animal Marietta! We are a wildlife removal company servicing Marietta, GA. Do you have a wildlife concern? A snake in the bath maybe, or a colony of bats in the attic? That's our speciality - wild animal control and removal, and we've got over a decade of experience doing it. We've come up with the best, tried-and-tested for removing the wildlife you have a problem with, meaning that both you and the animal itself gets out of the situation unscathed. We aim to safely revoke all wildlife far enough away so that it can't come back, and in locations where we are sure it can thrive and be safe. We believe in doing a 100% humane job, and that's why we also refuse to use any poisons. We are not exterminators, and we do not need them. Poisons are just as dangerous to your home as it is to the wildlife in question, and in some cases more so. It's also a terribly inhumane practice that doesn't solve the problem - the holes in your residential or commercial property will still exist, and further wildlife can gain entrance. Our 32-point building inspection puts a stop to that, isolating entry points to enable us to seal them up ... once we're sure the wildlife has been evicted, of course, using exclusion traps. Only when necessary we will resort to using live cage traps. For a free quote today, and written estimates on request, give our 24/7 manned phone-lines a call - we can book same-day appointments for emergency problems! About Pest Animal Marietta and Our Services:
Dealing with a rodent in your home can be a real challenge for some people. You have to figure out what type of rodent it is and then work to catch it. This involves placing a live cage trap in the correct location with proper bait and then waiting until you are successful. Remember to always check the live traps every few hours at a minimum since you don't want to subject the rodent to unnecessary stress. After you catch the rodent, you need to figure out where to relocate it.
Outside Your Home
The best place to relocate a trapped rodent if you want to increase its chances of survival is right outside of your home. Most rodents have a limited area in which they are comfortable and taking them further away than this will reduce their chances of survival. In fact, most rodents who are relocated outside of this area will die within several days. Because of this, the most humane option is to relocate the rodent outside of your house.
Seal Up The Home
You may be wondering what the point of simply putting the rodent outside your home will be. After all, it will most likely just return right back inside. The trick is to make sure you seal up your home before releasing it. In order to trap the rodent in the first place, you probably figured out how it was getting inside. In fact, you most likely sealed up all the entry points and then set the traps to increase your chances of success. If all the entrances are already sealed, then you can release the rodent outside your home without fear of it returning.
Even though rats relocated far from their territory rarely survive, you can gently encourage them to find a new area to live. This will give them the option of doing so slowly and carefully, maximizing their chances of survival. The best way to discourage rodents and other animals from living on your property is to remove their food, water, and shelter.
You already eliminated their main shelter when you took them out of your home, but you should double check that there isn't other shelter available on your property. If you have a pile of wood, for example, try raising it off the ground so rodents can live inside the pile. You should also take a few steps to limit their potential access to food on your property. This means keeping pet food inside, garbage cans securely closed, and leaves and other plant debris raked up. With these steps, the rodents should feel a little less comfortable on your property and consider leaving. At the very least, new ones are unlikely to come.
